Roger Harris receives a 2023 Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship

Schulich Law alum Roger Harris (LLB’91) was honoured for his volunteer work supporting the visually impaired, promoting accessibility, aiding hospice patients, and helping raise funds through the Wellspring Ride for Cancer Support.

Schulich Law alum Roger Harris (LLB’91) was honoured with an for the significant impact he’s made through hands-on volunteer efforts, including with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, at Dorothy Le Hospice and St. Joseph’s Hospital, and through the Wellness Ride for Cancer Support.

Harris is a ‘vision mate’ volunteer with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), where he supports the visually impaired with daily tasks. He advocates for greater accessibility and promotes inclusion with Blind Sailing Canada and the Disabled Sailing Association of Ontario. At Dorothy Ley Hospice and St. Joseph’s Hospital, he offers emotional and personal care support. He also contributes to the Wellspring Ride for Cancer Support, directly supporting cyclists and indirectly helping to raise millions of dollars in much-needed funding. He’s an inspiration to many through his contributions to countless causes.
