ÃÀÅ®×ö°® has won the Halifax weekly's "Best University" category every year since it was revived in 2012. Other Dal award winners this year include Pete's ToGoGo, the Loaded Ladle, T-Room trivia and recognition for the University Avenue bike lane.

During his keynote speech at the Halifax Chamber of Commerce’s fall dinner Wednesday night, ÃÀÅ®×ö°® President Richard Florizone announced ideaHUB — an advanced engineering incubator/accelerator space on Dal’s downtown campus that will equip students with creative and entrepreneurial skills while supporting local startups and small businesses. An initiative involving various university, public and private sector partners, ideaHUB is supported by a $10 million contribution from Emera.
